Building up a healthy foundation for your heart is incredibly important. Below I am going to outline a sample cardiac diet that should help give you some guidelines as to what you need to be eating on a constant daily basis to maintain a healthy heart. Your first meal should consist of eggs, whole grain toast, and some natural orange juice. With the eggs, you will get healthy fats, protein and plenty of vitamins. In the toast you will get the carbs which your body needs for energy. In the orange juice you will get a healthy burst of energy. The second meal should be a tuna sandwich, a handful of nuts, and a glass of milk. This meal will provide a plethora of protein which your body needs to create and maintain muscle mass. For the last meal, eat a big cut of salmon, brown rice, and a big salad!
